Acron Allocates RUB 10 Million for Local Business Projects in Novgorod

In 2021, Novgorod-based Acron (a member of Acron Group) provided RUB 10 million in grants for 20 business projects promoted by the Creative Economy Development Foundation in Novgorod Region. This year, the grant holders presented business initiatives in digital technology, architecture and design, mass media, and applied arts, including the fashion industry and industrial design.

The grants, each worth RUB 300,000, were awarded to the developers of a cargo transportation app called Gruzovik, the authors of the Remesla.Life online marketplace, the designers of the Trest creative communication and education cluster serving the local community, and the producers of edible coffee cups. Other projects selected by the Foundation’s expert council include an art space for public events, a project to manufacture epoxy-resin lamps, and a joinery shop making wood art in both traditional and contemporary styles.

Foundation director Yury Veseliev was pleased by the range of projects that received funding. ‘We are glad to see talented local people gaining opportunities and Novgorod region benefitting through of our partnership with Acron’, he said

As a major partner of the Novgorod Region Foundation for Creative Economy Development, Acron is proud to support local businesses. In 2022, the Foundation resolved to finance the purchase of equipment that recycles plastics for use as feedstock, in addition to supporting projects to make custom lingerie, designer furniture, and wooden home furnishings.
