Acron Increases Domestic Sales of Complex Fertilisers

In 2021, Acron Group sold more than 460,000 tonnes of NPK to local agricultural producers, up 6.3 % year-on-year.

Acron Group supplied the domestic market with a total of about 1.2 million tonnes of high-quality mineral fertilisers last year.

Today, ammonium nitrate is still the most popular product with Russian growers. To meet the growing demand for this fertiliser, Acron will upgrade the ammonia unit and complete construction of the nitric acid unit at its industrial site in Dorogobuzh. Once the project is completed, the Group will boost AN output and further increase supplies to domestic agricultural producers.

‘Supplying mineral fertilisers to Russian growers is our top priority’, said Alexander Popov, Chairman of Acron’s Board of Directors. ‘Last year, we froze domestic prices for mineral fertilisers through the end of the 2022 sowing season, and we are continuing with our investment programme. In 2021, we launched a new online fertiliser store so that small and medium-sized growers can easily buy high-quality Acron fertilisers without going through intermediaries’.

In 2005, Acron Group established a distribution network under the Agronova brand, which comprises ten specialised agrochemical companies that have direct access to consumers in major Russian farming regions. With a total warehouse capacity of 189,000 tonnes, Agronova’s units handle transportation, sales, and storage of mineral fertilisers.
