Dorogobuzh to Allocate RUB 2.75 Million to Fund Local Social Projects

Oleg Tikhonov, Executive Director of Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group), and Konstantin Serenkov, the head of the Dorogobuzh district administration, signed a social partnership agreement for 2021.

Dorogobuzh will allocate RUB 2.75 million (up 10% year-on-year) to finance repairs, upgrades, and improvements to educational facilities, including three kindergartens and five schools, and cultural institutions, including three libraries, the district Cultural Centre, three rural recreation centres, and a local history museum.

Acting head of the Dorogobuzh district education committee Galina Beteva spoke appreciatively of the significant support Dorogobuzh provides each year for the district’s educational institutions in preparation for the new academic year. “The funds allocated by Dorogobuzh help local schools and kindergartens purchase building materials and contract third-party repair services’, she explained.

At present, Dorogobuzh has already financed the installation of PVC window frames at the Alyonushka kindergarten, repairs to the cold water supply system at the Romashka kindergarten, and repairs to the floor in the ground-storey corridor at Verkhnedneprovsky secondary school No. 1. Repairs are underway in the physics, chemistry, and biology classrooms at Dorogobuzh school No. 1 and Verkhnedneprovsky school No. 2, where the Growth Point science and engineering centres will be established this year under the national Education project.

The first social partnership agreement between Dorogobuzh and Dorogobuzh district administration was signed in 2017 to outline the social and economic development strategy in the city of Dorogobuzh and Dorogobuzh district.
