Acron Group’s Corporate Book Recognised by Communications Contest

Acron Group’s Making a New Future received an award for Best Corporate Book as part of a national contest for corporate communications called Silver Threads.

The book provides a brief overview of Acron Group’s past and present, telling the story of the Group’s several thousand-strong team of employees and recounting the many years of hard work put in by several generations of Russia’s finest chemists and engineers. Making a New Future also covers the history and future of the mineral fertiliser industry as a critical manufacturing sector.

The Group published its book to raise public awareness of the role of mineral fertilisers and highlight the issue of global famine. The book’s design features photos taken at the Group’s facilities.

The book was designed by Mikhail Anikst, a Russian and British graphic designer, illustrator, and scene painter, who also holds the title of Honoured Artist of the Soviet Union. He designed the unique typographic style of Making a New Future, which was also recognised by the Silver Threads contest.

Acron Group’s corporate digital newspaper, Chemist 3.0, received an award from Silver Threads for Corporate Advanced Problem Solving. Over its three-year history, the digital newspaper has become one of the most effective channels of communication with the Group’s employees, providing timely information and fostering corporate loyalty.

Silver Threads is organised by the Academy of Communication and Information and is aimed at raising the profile of corporate resources in Russia’s media industry, creating a space for professional cooperation between public and business media, and supporting the most prominent corporate publications, websites, intranet portals, and radio and television projects.
