On 10 April 2019, Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) Executive Director Oleg Tikhonov and head of Dorogobuzh district administration in Smolensk region Oleg Garbar signed a social partnership agreement for 2019 outlining the social and economic development strategy in Dorogobuzh and Dorogobuzh district.
This year, Dorogobuzh will allocate two million roubles to finance social, and housing and utility programmes in Dorogobuzh district, including repairs, overhauls, and improvement of educational facilities and resources, social infrastructure, and housing stock and utilities in the district, as well as support for public organisations and cultural and sports events.
Tikhonov noted that the agreement was drafted with input from Company employees, local residents, public servants, and elected representatives in Dorogobuzh district. The initiative serves the common interests of the residents of Dorogobuzh district by contributing to education, culture and sports projects.
Dorogobuzh and the district’s administration began cooperating under a social partnership agreement in 2017.
Acron Group facilities have made similar social and economic partnership agreements with local governments in Veliky Novgorod and Kirovsk (Murmansk region), and the projects they fund demonstrate a positive social impact.
