North-Western Phosphorous Company which is constructing the mining and processing complex at the Oleniy Ruchey apatite-nepheline ore deposit in the Murmansk region, won the 6th Russian Mining Excellence Award in the Project of the Year category. NWPC was awarded in the context of MINEX Russia 2012, the 8th Mining and Mineral Exploration Forum, held in Moscow.
The international annual competition billed as Russian Mining Excellence Award was established by the MINEX Russia Forum in 2007 to contribute to the competitive spirit and promote best achievements in the Russian mining industry.
The Project of the Year category covers the successful implementation of the project in the mining industry. The award recognises world-scale projects in Russia focused on solid minerals mining.
